It hasn't been an easy week. It's been terrible and upsetting in fact. In honor of those in Jewish community in Pittsburgh, and all who live with the threat of far right violence, today's Friday Photo just says "Shalom" or "peace" in Hebrew.
While I'm still processing the hearing yesterday and listening to more of it today, I wanted today's Friday Photo to feature a strong female presence. I don't have any pieces with human woman, but I do have a great mermaids. And, Three Stone Steps' carries not one, but two mermaid menorahs!
In honor of strong women, I present two mermaid menorah. While they're not human, they do represent female solidarity. You can find this piece here. Other menorahs and more Judaica are right here.
Yes, we know that Hanukkah is just a week or two shy of six months away, but this week's recent celebration of the 20th anniversary of Sex in the City, kept reminding me that we have an awesome new recycled Chanukah menorah that has almost the same name. Also, we haven't shown this off before. Appropriate time to show off a menorah be damned!
Here it is.
Find this great piece here.
And, while we still have some time to go until Hanukkah, this great menorah is available now to give as a Jewish wedding gift, or for a Bar or Bat Mitzvah.
Any questions, just let us know!
On this day of erve Yom Kippur (very loose translation: Yom Kippur eve day), we thought it fitting to highlight a piece from our recycled Judaica collection. And, since it's something we all need, what better metal art piece to highlight than "peace" or "shalom" written in Hebrew.
And, if this is your holiday, may you have a meaningful Yom Kippur.
For today's Friday Photo, Three Stone Steps would like to wish an early and hearty l'shana tova to all our fellow MOT's out there. May the coming year be sweet and just.
Since we have no Judaica specifically for Rosh Hashana, we leave you with this simple Star of David metal art.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
