It’s almost August and here in the mid-Atlantic. Lots of harvesting has begun. If you still want some outside flowers to view, you might want to consider a piece of Three Stone Steps‘ metal art from Haiti, which can be used inside or out. This grand sunflower piece is one of our favorites and keeps you in summer flowers all year long: Just a note for this and all metal art pieces you keep outside. The piece has been coated with a clear spray enamel and shouldn’t “age” for a year or so. (I’ve had reports for almost two years in the Baltimore-area.) If you want, you can let your piece rust, or you can keep it looking new by using a regular old clear spray enamel, probably found in the spray paint section of your favorite hardware store.

From the metal art made in Haiti department: 2013 marks year three (already) of Three Stone Steps’ fabulous recycled metal menorahs. And, every year I wonder how they could possibly be any better than the year before. (Yes. I’m proud of my Hanukkah/Chanukah babies.) And, every year, I think that that year’s menorah is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen. (Ok. Within reason.)
This year, there are two. (Really four, since there are the unpainted versions of these two.) They are variations on a theme, so to speak. And, for retailers, you can find the wholesale catalog for these (and for Three Stone Steps’ other holiday goods) right here |
