Keeping with the floral theme of Mother's Day gifts, we present round two of our gift ideas. Mother's Day is 16 days away! And, we're happy to help you keep things as easy as possible: if Mom doesn't live near you, we're happy to send directly to her as a gift. Just let us know what to say on your behalf--must fit on the back of a postcard--and off it will go! Yes, we featured this piece of recycled metal art recently in this blog, but it's so lovely, it's worth highlighting again. Wonderful birds perch on the curving branches of the hibiscus. Find it here. Not exactly flowers, but this recycled oil drum art of a delicate tree in an arch is such a lovely piece that it makes the perfect gift for the right Mom. Maybe yours? This piece of Haitian metal art is found here. Again, we featured this adorable, affordable piece of metal art and its companion pieces recently here, but it's so great and such a good Mother's Day gift, we're doing it again. Little birds sit among a flowering tree. This cute and easy to display and give piece of oil drum art is here. And, if Mom doesn't live near you, we're happy to send directly to her as a gift. Just let us know what to say on your behalf--must fit on the back of a postcard--and off it will go!

Today, there are two and a half week's until Mother's Day. Instead of getting Mom flowers or going out to dinner, we thought we'd provide some alternative suggestions of the fairly traded, recycled, and handcrafted variety. Ok, who doesn't love seeing someone approach with a colorful bouquet? But, instead of flowers that start to wilt after a few days, you can give a gift that Mom can see for years to come. Here are the first of our flower-y gift ideas: This little piece is cute, affordable, and if you have to mail your gift to Mom, it fits easily in and 8" x 10" envelope. Find metal art daisies with dragonfly here. If you're set on giving the gift of a bouquet, this oil drum piece of little sunflowers with hummingbirds might just work as the perfect Mother's Day gift. Please be aware that we currently have very low stock of this piece. Snag it here. Final flowers (for today), is this large, wonderful daisies and lily. It would look great in a garden or anywhere in the house. It's here.
While we wait (and wait and wait) for Spring here in the Mid-Atlantic, we take a bit of solace in viewing some of our many pieces of tree or botanical metal art. Among our loveliest is the piece we call birds with hibiscus. (I think floral purists might take issue with the idea that they are hibiscus, but they are close enough for us!)
And, speaking of flower or tree metal art, we'll be vending at the wonderful Spring Garden Market at the American Horticultural Society next Friday and Saturday. |
