Prior to founding Three Stone Steps, Ellen Reich spent 15 years working in the U.S. labor movement. She also counts herself among the ranks of the former English majors of the world, and even did some graduate studies in English. She did manage to get a masters degree in Labor Studies from UMASS Amherst.
An avid traveler, Ellen founded Three Stone Steps to merge her love of travel and her commitment to economic, social, and environmental justice with her keen sense of aesthetics.
She spends most days toiling away at the Three Stone Steps worldwide headquarters ((i.e. her very Baltimore rowhouse) with Mingus and Fellini, her beloved “recycled” dogs. (One is from the local SPCA and the other found in the local park.)

She wouldn’t dream of having it any other way.
